The MT-10 propels a 998cc inline-four CP4 engine that churns out an output of 158bhp of maximum power at 11,500rpm, and 111 Nm of peak torque at 9000rpm.

The Japanese motorcycle maker, Yamaha, has finally pulled the clothes off the specifications and pricing of the hyper aggressive MT-10. The bike was seen for the first time at the EICMA 2015 last year and since then it has been in talks as it sits in the top of the naked family in the entire line-up from Yamaha. The MT family starts from the naïve 125cc category and extends up to the monstrous litre-class category.

Talking about the mechanicals, the MT-10 propels a 998cc inline-four CP4 engine that churns out an output of 158bhp of maximum power at 11,500rpm, and 111 Nm of peak torque at 9000rpm. This is not an absolute new engine but is a derivation of the one seen on the YZF-R1 but has been tuned for a heavy low and mid-range torque that makes it ideal for city and short rides conditions. Like the YZF-R1, the MT-01 too is built around the delta box frame and also has been equipped with some of the electronics package from the R1. It comes with three-level traction control system, three rider mode options and a slipper clutch. Apart from all this it also gets cruise control as a standard.

It has been priced at 10,000 British pounds which is equivalent to almost 9.6 Lakh in Indian currency. Aforementioned, the bike sits in the big naked family and compete against the likes of motorcycles like KTM 1290 SuperDuke, BMW S1000R, Aprilia Tuno V4 1100, Kawasaki Z1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000 และ the Triumph Speed Triple R.
