Conference Room Named after Jorge Lorenzo

Jorge Lorenzo, the current MotoGP world champion and hundredth world champion using an Akrapovic exhaust system, delighted Akrapovic employees at the end-of-year get-together as a surprise guest of honour. He was given a tour of the company’s headquarters, where he unveiled a special commemorative plaque.

The employees at the end-of-year get-together were thrilled by the presence of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team racer. The queue to get an autograph from the current MotoGP world champion and the racer that won the hundredth world championship title for Akrapovic was endless because everyone wanted to have their photo taken with Jorge.

After the get-together, Lorenzo took a tour of Akrapovic headquarters, where the exhaust systems for his Yamaha YZR-M1 are also being created. “Here in the factory I can see all the work that employees of Akrapovic are doing to improve the exhaust,” commented Jorge after seeing the company. This was his first time in Slovenia: “It was nice to get to know a new country.”

Jorge not only got to visit Akrapovic headquarters guided by CEO Uroš Rosa, but also received a special honour: Akrapovic has named one of its conference rooms after him in honour of achieving Akrapovic’s first MotoGP world championship title in 2012 and also becoming the company’s all-time one-hundredth world champion in 2015.
