Is this design large and sturdy?

I should have looked at the pictures better, but the Base and Cover are in the installed state. (tentative name) There will be a gap between the two, and the length of the Bolt engagement will be reduced.
The picture in the product description looks Exactly like the surface hit, but it is not the same as the installed condition. Scam Level.
The tension between the base and cover does not hit the surface, only the bolt tension, so it may loosen due to vibration while driving and fall off if you notice.
Why is it designed this way?
I no longer trust this company called Earls Gear.
