Motul Thai Round kicks off with a pre-event in capital Bangkok<\/strong><\/h2>\n

WorldSBK riders recently got the upcoming Championship Round at Chang International Circuit kicked into gear with a pre-event in the bustling Thai metropolis of Bangkok. WorldSBK reigning Champion Jonathan Rea, MotoGP Legend Nicky Hayden and 2013 British Superbike Champion Alex Lowes first enjoyed a meeting with Thailands Sport authority representative Mr. Dage Jaikla, as WorldSBK gets to know Bangkok before setting course for Buriram.<\/span><\/p>\n

Setting sail was the theme of the afternoon\u2019s activities, as the riders then took to the water in Thai speed boats to go and see one of Bangkok\u2019s plethora of landmarks: Wat Aroon. On the banks of the Chao Phraya River, the Buddhist temple provided the stunning backdrop for both photo opportunities and in-demand interviews ahead of the upcoming race weekend in Buriram, set a few hours north-east of the first stop on the Thai adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the capital, WorldSBK now heads for Chang International Circuit via a visit to a Silk Village, with culture and local experience the focus of the first few days in the spectacular South East Asian country before the engines fire up once again on Friday for Round 2 to get underway. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
