He established Yoshimura Shop in 1954 starting with only a family business. From a tuning master, he began to work on exhausts. In 1973 Yoshimura established its first headquarters in USA, California, as \u201cYOSHIMURA RACING\u201d then changed to \u201cYOSHIMURA R&D OF AMERICA\u201d in 1975<\/p>\n

The world got a first taste of how powerful Yoshimura\u2019s exhaust and the engine was in 1978 AMA Superbike Championship. Yoshimura, then, claimed the title on their tuned Suzuki GS750 in amazement of all spectators. In the same year, Yoshimura Racing also came in as first place in the debut of Suzuka 8 Hours. This powerful exhaust and the tuned engine still conquer four straight championships of Daytona Superbike in 1978 – 1981 with Yoshimura Suzuki Team. This is what bounds Yoshimura and Suzuki together into a long-term relationship until this present day.<\/p>\n
