The gearbox has also been completely redesigned, although <a href=\"http:\/\/thai.webike.net\/Moto\/SUZUKI\/\" target=\"_blank\">Suzuki<\/a> gearboxes have always been silky smooth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22042\" src=\"http:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"827\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189.jpg 827w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189-24x15.jpg 24w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189-36x22.jpg 36w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/189-48x30.jpg 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 827px) 100vw, 827px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There&#8217;s also MotoGP-developed variable valve timing to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allow higher peak power without sacrificing low or mid-range oomph<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 and one in which Suzuki says is far less complicated than setups from other manufacturers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The IMU in both the GSX-R1000s is from Continental, while the engine also has 10 levels of traction control, as well as Suzuki&#8217;s low rpm assist and easy start technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suzuki claims 199.27hp and 117.6Nm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-22044\" src=\"http:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-24x16.jpg 24w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-36x24.jpg 36w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191-48x32.jpg 48w, https:\/\/thai.webike.net\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/191.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The GSX-R1000 uses Showa Big Piston Front forks, while the GSX-R1000R goes a step further with the latest race-developed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Showa Balance free Front forks and Balance Free Rear Cushion lite shock<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latter has high- and low-speed compression adjustment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new twin-spar aluminium perimeter frame is 20mm narrower at the widest point between the spars, and weighs 10 per cent less. The upper rear shock mount is moved back by 48mm and down by 20mm, making room for teams to install a modified fuel tank for longer-distance events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new bolt-on rear subframe<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is now made of aluminium tubing, reducing weight by 38 per cent. A new aluminium swingarm is braced on both sides instead of on one, to improve weight and rigidity balance. It\u2019s also 25mm longer from the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pivot shaft to the rear-most axle position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The riding position \u2013 defined by the relative positioning of the footpegs, the seat and the handlebars \u2013 is unchanged.
