You\u2019ll probably just see it as the usual cute MONKEY<\/a> at your first glance. But if you get a closer look, you\u2019ll feel its dignity. It\u2019s the new generation MONKEY that underwent the full model change.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s so surprising is that this new MONKEY now got the fuel injection system in order to pass the Japanese emission regulation! But you don\u2019t have to worry about it. The toddling ride feel of the nice old MONKEY or its compact body size are still there. It\u2019s hasn\u2019t been \u201cdrastically changed\u201d in a reckless manner.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, the injection system has made the engine more powerful. Especially, the smoothness of the ultra slow rotation at the acceleration start or the acceleration feel at its high rotation range are so sophisticated. It even achieved 100km\/L fuel consumption according to the catalog data. It seems like it is making the best use of the injection system.<\/span><\/p>\n

It has inherited the retractable handlebar or the compact body of the former model, and has upgraded the details like its engine. The limited edition comes in only one color: red & silver.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new MONKEY has adopted two shock absorbers: a telescopic fork for its front and a swing arm type for its rear. The 8-inch wheels wear block-patterned tires.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PGM-FI on the traditional 4-stroke OHC engine has improved its startability and the starting acceleration. It features 4-speed manual transmission.<\/span><\/p>\n

It stores the battery and the regulator under the seat. It doesn\u2019t have a storage space.<\/span><\/p>\n

The price has been raised from 200,000 JPY to 280,000 JPY. Yet, by having an injection system, you can start the engine even after you leave it unridden for quite a while, discharging all the electricity of the battery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, you can go in the flow of the traffic in a \u201cnormal\u201d manner as ever before. It\u2019s as though it has raised its level of perfection by digitalizing certain parts while keeping the virtues of its analog aspect.<\/span><\/p>\n

MONKEY was born as the play ride of the amusement park in 1961. And after 40 years, it has plunged into its new generation. The joy of riding, owning, and customizing it has not changed a bit. What a miracle motorcycle it is!<\/span><\/p>\n

It has a chrome side cover with an exclusive sticker showing that it is a limited model.<\/span><\/p>\n

The limited edition model comes with a chic checkered pattern seat colored in red and black <\/span><\/p>\n

To mark the debut of the new MONKEY, HONDA has released the \u201cHONDA jums-B MONKEY LIMITED\u201d which has the \u201cMONKEY\u201d logo on it (limited to 500). It costs 12,390 JPY.<\/span><\/p>\n

The standard specification MONKEY will cost 289,000 JPY, and it will come in two colors: Monza Red and Seychelles Night Blue.<\/span><\/p>\n
