Here\u2019s a little concept art from Italian designer Oberdan Bezzi, to get your weekend started. The idea takes the venerable Yamaha FZ-09<\/a><\/span>, and imagines an R-spec model with a little bit more pep in its step.<\/span><\/p>\n

Noticeable changes include a revised tail section, fuel tank design, and wheels \u2013 all of which give the FZ-09 a much sportier look. Presumably the suspension pieces have been upgraded as well, and the murdered Akrapovic <\/a>exhaust means a modest bump in power too.<\/span><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t see Yamaha giving the FZ-09 this sort of treatment any time soon, if for no other reason than Bezzi\u2019s concept comes to close to the domain of the\u00a0Yamaha FZ-10<\/span><\/p>\n

The concept reminds us though of the Aprilia Tuono 1000 R, partially because of the red and white livery, but also for the streetfighter design. For some, this very design is what they hoped the FZ-10 would be.<\/span><\/p>\n

For as good of a machine that the Yamaha FZ-10 is, those hopeful motorcyclists just might have a point.<\/span><\/p>\n
