With the impending implementation of Euro 4 emissions regulations in January 2017, BMW Motorrad\u2019s R1200 R-series bikes, like their F-series siblings, have received a slew of updates for 2017. All the liquid-cooled boxer engines \u2013 including GS-series bikes \u2013 will get a judder damper on the transmission output shaft to minimise unwanted vibration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other changes include a revised selector drum actuator, transmission shafts and transmission shaft bearing. In addition to this, an OBD indicator lamp is included into the instrument tell-tales, as well as side indicator lamps for safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the 2017 BMW Motorrad R1200 RT, customers will get new paint choices for 2017. These are Carbon Black metallic and Alpine White, with the previous options of Ebony metallic and San Marino Blue metallic being discontinued. Platinum Bronze metallic is retained in the catalogue for next year.<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of optional equipment, the R1200 RT will get cornering ABS in the form of ABS Pro, and the dynamic brake light, both of which are supplied in conjunction with the Riding Modes Pro option.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2017 BMW Motorrad R1200 R naked sportster will get the cornering ABS option of the RT model, with new paint. These are Racing Red and the \u201cSport\u201d colour combination of Light White with a Cordoba Blue frame. The previous colour options Cordoba Blue and Light White are no longer available for the coming year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/a>A new paint scheme is also available for the 2017 BMW Motorrad R1200 RS sports-tourer, called \u201cR1200 RS Sport\u201d, a combination of Light White metallic and Magellan Grey metallic matte. Technical updates for the \u2018R\u2019 and \u2018RS\u2019 models follow that of the \u2018RT\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malaysian retail price for the current model BMW Motorrad R1200 RT is RM123,900, while the R1200 R and R1200 RS go for RM98,900 and RM101,900, respectively. All prices include GST with personal registration, but exclude insurance.<\/span><\/p>\n
