30 Years from the First Edition. KLR650, the Long Loved Adventure Buddy<\/b><\/h2>\n

Kawasaki <\/a>\u00a0KLR650<\/a> is an Adventure Model equipped with 4 Cycle Single Cylinder Engine and has high popularity in Australia and Northern America.\u00a0<\/span>It\u2019s not only supported for its evolved vigor, low price and availability of repair parts but also because it was chosen \u201dBest Adventure Model\u201d for comprehensive evaluation by journalists in a motorcycle media project that was held in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Australia and Northern America, Adventure Models are required to offer reliability not to break down during long distance rides. KLR650(KL650A) is a long life model that has been in the market since 1987 with no basic modifications since. It was released one year earlier than the African Twin that was first released in 1988 and is known today as King of Adventure Models.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only that KLR650 has a Single Cylinder Engine. It\u2019s rather a Large Off Road Model mounted with cowls and differs slightly with the African Twin which is a replica of the Paris Dakar and is continuing to increase speed.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Japan it is Better Known as TENGAI<\/b><\/h2>\n

In Japan it was released with an unusual name, TENGAI (End of the world) Some riders may be familiar with the model name KL650B from the KLR650 series.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was dressed with full cowl and featured desert racing style but production only lasted for three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Current Model was Released in 2008. Front Mask is the Same as Ninja250R<\/b><\/h2>\n

KLR650 generated several derived models but ended production in 2007. Current model KL650E started production in 2008 and took over. The name KLR650 hasn\u2019t changed but it has substantially had a full model change.\u00a0<\/span>The engine is the same Water-cooling Single Cylinder but headlamps are the same as the ones mounted to Ninja250R of that time. Ninja250 has had model change so the headlamp are somewhat nostalgic.\u00a0<\/span>The vehicle is mainly produced in KAWASAKI Thailand and parts are being shared. So the price hasn\u2019t raised after the model change.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lightweight Adventure Model with Single Engine<\/b><\/h2>\n

The engine is installed with KEHIN Carburetor and equipped with Wide Ratio 5 Gear Cross Mission. Front tires are 21inch and rear tires are 17inch 130mm wide.\u00a0<\/span>The Fuel Tank is approximately 23 liters (6.1 gallon) and offers cruising range over 500km. It normally weighs 196kg (Dry Weight: 170kg) and is light for its size.<\/span><\/p>\n

Retail Price of the 2016 Model is 6,599 dollars (USA Model), that is approximately 720,000 Japanese Yen.<\/span><\/p>\n
