    Description

    The complete engine is a high quality engine assembled by SP Takegawa mechanics with each custom parts under proper management.

    ■Superhead 4V+Rock arm (1-cam 4-valve) Features
    The four-valve design increases the valve curtain area and greatly improves the intake and exhaust efficiency.
    Valve diameter IN: 21.5mm x 2 / EX: 18.5mm x 2 Valve Stem Shaft Diameter: 4.0mm for both IN / EX
    The M8 spark plug is used for the optimum valve pinching angle and compact head.

    Roller rocker arm
    The friction loss is reduced and the cam profile is smoothly followed from low to high speed rotation.

    Auto decompression camshaft Auto decompression function
    The engine can be started with a light kick force even for vehicles with large displacement engines.

    ■Cylinders, pistons, crankshafts
    The 138cc scuttle features an all-aluminum ceramic-plated cylinder with excellent durability, airtightness, and heat dissipation.
    SP Takegawa cylinders are equipped with a temperature sensor mounting section as standard.
    You can measure the cylinder temperature by purchasing SP Takegawa's thermometer built-in meter or thermometer.
    Supported temperature sensors: C1 adapter (07-04-0031) +M5 temperature sensor

    Piston
    The 138cc scuttle uses a cast piston, and the skirt is molybdenum coated for good initial acclimation.

    Special bearings with a larger inner diameter for the journal bearings of the stroked crankshaft are used to accommodate high power engines.
    The shaft diameter of the journal section, where the stress of the crankshaft is concentrated, is 22mm to improve strength and durability.
    In addition, the crankshaft has been given a special surface treatment to further increase durability.
    Primary kickstarter system is a two-point crankshaft

    ■Original reinforced crankcase made by SP Takegawa
    The SP Takegawa reinforced crankcase is a high quality crankcase that has been specially designed in every detail to increase the rigidity of the case and to counter the load on the crankcase caused by the larger displacement.
    The oil pump is a crankshaft direct drive oil pump.
    Compared with the chain drive type reinforced oil pump, the discharge volume is about twice as large.
    The inner diameter of the breather pipe is 6mm as opposed to the stock 4mm in order to reduce the internal pressure of the crankcase of a large displacement engine.
    The crankcase body is equipped with an oil jet mechanism that constantly sprays oil directly onto the small end of the connecting rod and the backside of the piston for lubrication and cooling.
    The transmission bearing is equipped with a special bearing hold plate for big torque.

    Super cam chain tensioner is adopted
    It follows the cam chain and maintains the proper tension.
    The tensioner arm is machined from ultra high strength duralumin material to increase the thickness of the arm body and also to increase the contact area to the push rod.
    An oil hole is provided in the arm to lubricate the operating part.
    The surface is hard anodized.

    ■Special Clutch Kit for Primary Type Kick Starter System
    The primary type kick starter allows the engine to be started by disengaging the clutch in any gear, and is recommended for racing use where a quick engine start is required when restarting.
    In the case of a primary kick, the engine can be started without direct stress on the transmission.

    Special clutch (wet type) only, with magnesium die-cast cover.
    The surface of the magnesium clutch cover is painted brown.
    The reinforced clutch uses 5 discs to eliminate clutch slippage that occurs in high power engines.
    The clutch has a slipper clutch mechanism.

    The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking when downshifting at high RPM.The clutch cover is a patented clutch cover that allows for the installation of a thermostat.
    Overcooling can be prevented by installing a thermostat unit (sold separately).
    Furthermore, an oil outlet is provided to allow oil to be taken out to the oil cooler.Clutch cable 850mm included.

    ■Transmission and other accessory parts
    TAF 5-speed cross transmission (S Touring)
    It has high durability and excellent operability.S-Touring gear ratios are used for the complete engine

    Super Street Outer Rotor
    It is capable of stable high power output for both street and racing use, while maintaining the same brightness of lights as stock for street driving and a charge level that compensates for the power consumed while riding.
    SP Takegawa rotor body uses a medium-sized flywheel that is approximately 50% lighter than the stock flywheel to reduce the load on the crankshaft while providing ease of riding and the necessary power generation power.
    Moreover, the position of the pickup is reviewed, and the best ignition timing corresponding to various displacement is set up, and the high power characteristic and the response that cannot be obtained by a stock rotor are enabled.

    The primary type adopts a separate type drive sprocket cover, and the sprocket can be replaced by removing only the sprocket cover part without removing the generator cover.

    *When installing the 138cc complete engine, the engine is longer and the stock front fork, stock top bridge and steering stem will interfere with the engine and tires, so the front area must be modified.
    *For Monkey and Gorilla, we recommend installing SP Takegawa's various front fork kits at the same time.

    *Complete engine recommended parts
    *Need to change to big bore carburetor.With the change to the Superhead 4V+R cylinder head and the increase in displacement, a big bore carburetor kit must be purchased separately to maximize engine performance.
    *SP Takegawa carburetor kits include a special manifold (insulator), high throttle set, air filter (VM26/PE28 only), and fuel cock (VM26 only) in addition to the carburetor.
    *Carburetors are available in four types: MIKUNI VM26, KEIHIN PE28, KEIHIN FCR downdraft, and MIKUNI TMR downdraft.

    *Need to change to SP Takegawa exhaust with superior exhaust efficiency
    *To maximize engine performance, it is necessary to change to a exhaust with excellent exhaust efficiency.SP Takegawa has released numerous exhausts from street exhausts to racing exhausts.

    *Precautions and recommended parts when purchasing a complete engine
    *No engine oil is included.The engine oil must be purchased separately and filled by the customer.
    *The kick starter arm is not included.
    *The kick starter arm of other manufacturers' products may interfere with the clutch cover, so we recommend SP Takegawa's forged steel kick starter arm (chrome plated) 02-08-0052.
    *The recommended big bore carburetor and exhaust are required to get the best performance out of the complete engine.
    *Because the overall length of the engine differs between the stock engine and the complete engine, it is necessary to change the body circumference from the stock body to the one recommended by SP Takegawa.
