Description
54mm stroker crankshaft with X-section connecting rod for high strength and light weight is available!
SP Takegawa bore and stroke up kit 54mm stroke up crankshaft used in 124cc and complete engines with X-section shaped connecting rod.
This makes it an even stronger type than the previous product and is compatible with high-spec engines that use SP Takegawa's original cylinder heads.
■X-section connecting rods are used
Forged material is machined and an X-section shape is adopted.
It ensures sufficient strength along with weight reduction, diffusion of buckling stress and significant improvement of torsional rigidity.
The surface is shot-finished.
■ Strengthening the Journal Department
A special bearing with a larger bore diameter of the crankshaft journal bearing is used.
This allows the shaft diameter at the journal, where stresses on the crankshaft are concentrated, to be increased in size from 20mm to 22mm, thereby increasing shaft strength.
■Type of crankshaft: 2-point crankshaft R type (see image)
