In the case of battery-ignited C.D.I. type live DIOs, the voltage supplied to the C.D.I. becomes unstable when the battery is removed, but the battery-less kit enables a stable voltage supply.
*However, only CF POSH C.D.I. and stock C.D.I. are confirmed to work.
