The dry clutch TYPE-R for the monkey adopts a new clutch cover with additional ventilation holes to improve the cooling effect!!!
The new clutch cover is machined from aluminium with a clear anodised finish.
Large ventilation holes are newly adopted to enhance cooling effect.
Lightweight and compact clutch unit with 6 small diameter discs is equipped with a slipper mechanism.
A cartridge type paper type oil element with excellent filtration capacity is used in the oil path.
The cover has an inspection window to check the oil contamination.
The oil passage to the oil cooler can be taken out by installing the oil cooler unit to the oil element part.

The right crankcase cover is made of die-cast aluminum.
The surface of the cover is buffed and clear coated.
The right crankcase cover shape can be used for both wet and dry clutches.
After purchasing a dry clutch, you can change the specification to a special clutch (wet type).
*Specification changes require the separate purchase of SP Takegawa specified parts.
・Machined aluminum clutch cover
Ventilation holes have been increased to further improve the cooling effect around the clutch outer.
By removing the clutch cover, the clutch spring, clutch plate and clutch friction disc can be easily replaced.
The surface of the machined aluminum cover is anodized silver.
・Built-in oil element
Filters out impurities such as sludge and metal wear particles in the oil.
By removing the impurities in the oil, it is possible to maintain the engine power.
The oil element is a highly reliable cartridge type paper type.
・With oil level check window
The oil level can be checked.
The engine oil check window is made of durable glass.
・Large oil filler cap is adopted
Die-cast aluminum with chrome plating
The large oil inlet makes it easy to change the oil.
[6 Disc Clutch Detail]
・Change of clutch unit
By changing the crankshaft from the stock crankshaft (primary side) to the main shaft (secondary side) of the transmission, the rotational mass of the crankshaft is reduced and the durability and throttle response of the crankshaft are improved.
By reducing the diameter of the rotating parts such as the clutch outer compared to the conventional product, the loss of horsepower due to oil diffusion is reduced, the response is further improved, and the rotating mass weight is reduced by approximately 12%, so engine power can be transmitted without waste.
Five friction discs and one special friction disc to reduce judder are used, resulting in a 6-disc configuration.
As a result, the capacity of the clutch is increased by approx. 20% compared with the conventional product, and it is applicable to high power engines.
・Primary driven gears
Built-in rubber damper to reduce shock to gears, etc. when clutch is engaged.
・Lifter plate
The slipper clutch has a die-cast aluminum lifter plate.
・Clutch spring
Excellent fatigue resistance and stable clutch feel.
[Slippery Clutch]
The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking when downshifting at high RPM.This reduces sudden posture changes, rear tire hopping, and load on the engine.

By installing the oil cooler unit to the oil element, the oil can be taken out to the oil cooler.
