Description

Jointly developed by KITACO, a mini bike parts manufacturer, and GEARS, a renowned suspension parts manufacturer.
The spring rate and damper characteristics have been tested on the street and on the circuit, and have been optimized to maintain a comfortable feeling under heavy loads, such as long touring and engine tuning.
Equipped with ride height adjustment, rebound damping force adjustment, and preload adjustment mechanisms, it is possible to make a wide range of settings depending on the situation.

Pursuit of better street performance.
This high-grade rear shock absorber provides excellent rearg performance even when fully loaded with luggage, and is also comfortable for medium to long-distance touring when the load capacity increases.

Monotube - Separate oil and gas chamber design
The separate oil and gas chamber design is a single cylinder with a free piston that separates the gas chamber from the oil chamber, which helps eliminate cavitation caused by the air (moisture) in the oil and gas.
The monotube system has a large gas chamber, which is not available from other manufacturers, to secure the high-pressure gas.
It is capable of maintaining stable damping.
In addition, the heat-dissipating aluminum tube reduces heat avalanche (cavitation) from the sliding motion of the damping force, resulting in continuous and stable performance.

The packaging is specially designed for the collaboration.

"KITACO×GEARS Assembled in Japan" is laser printed on the packaging.
The location (surface) of the laser printing will change depending on the model.

Production process
Each part is manufactured at GEARS head office in Taiwan, which boasts the world's top class cutting technology, and assembled one by one by craftsmen in GEARS JAPAN.
From the filling of oil and gas, the operation is checked with the world's best suspension tester, and the damping characteristics are measured and set.
High performance and uncompromising quality are realized under the high quality control.
