    Caution

    *Please note the following for vehicles with ABS.
    The speed sensor for the meter in the crank case is used for both the rear wheel of the ABS system and the front wheel due to the change of the sprocket: If the difference in rear wheel rotation is outside the allowable range, an error will occur (warning lamp will flash) and ABS will not function.
    The speed correction function of the multi-meter is an internal correction of the meter, and therefore, it cannot be used as a countermeasure against the error generated by the ABS device (modulator).
    If the sprocket is replaced on a vehicle with ABS, a device that corrects the signal at the vehicle speed sensor (such as OPMID Doctor Speed) is required.

    *Displays the measured value of the stock temperature sensor.The displayed value is the same as the value output to the OBD2 tool.
    The stock temperature sensor is installed in the passage where the oil that became hot in the cylinder head returns to the crankcase.
    Because it is measured at the hottest point, it is always higher than the average temperature of the whole oil or the temperature of the drain bolt at the bottom.
    When the vehicle is stopped (idling), the amount of oil circulation will be reduced, and when the vehicle is running at high rpm and low speed, the stock temperature sensor near the combustion area will start to rise quickly.
    In addition, the average engine temperature of the CT125 is 15 degrees higher than that of the Monkey 125 due to the fact that the total amount of oil in the CT125 is approx. 20% less and the frictional heat of the centrifugal clutch.

    CT125: 125-130 degrees when driving, 135-140 degrees when stopped
    Stopped is the value when the vehicle is waiting at a traffic light for a few minutes, and it increases the longer the vehicle is stopped.
    As an alternative to using the stock temperature sensor, a readout circuit for a retrofit temperature sensor is also provided.
    A common drain bolt type temperature sensor for the Monkey 125 and CT125 will be released in the spring of 2021.

    *How the retrofit calculated gear position function works
    The basic mechanism is that the meter calculates the reduction ratio based on the ratio of the speed signal and the engine speed signal, and selects the number of gears based on the ratio.
    One of the disadvantages of the system is that when the clutch is disengaged or in a semi-clutch position, the relationship between the speed signal and the engine speed signal is not fixed, so the exact gear cannot be determined.
    The stock gear position equipped from the beginning on large vehicles has a switch sensor with contact points for each gear on the shift drum, and is not as linear as that.

    In the case of the CT125, there are two clutches, the primary centrifugal clutch (mainly for starting) and the secondary multi-disc clutch (for shifting), and therefore, compared with the Monkey 125, the "time when the relationship between the speed signal and the engine speed signal is not fixed" (i.e.the semi-clutching state) tends to increase during running.In particular, it is not possible to calculate the speed at low rpm when the primary centrifugal clutch is disengaged or about to be disengaged.
    Since the deceleration ratio is calculated every 0.1 second, it is not real time, but it will show the true reaction speed when you shift up or down in the engine speed range where the primary clutch does not slip.In terms of rpm, it is recommended to keep the rpm above 3000rpm, but not below 2500rpm.

    In the case of the Monkey 125, since only a manual clutch is used, the exact gear can be displayed as soon as the clutch lever is released, but if, for example, the bike is running in 2nd gear at full throttle and the clutch is released and the bike coasts (the speed drops slowly, but the engine speed drops at once), the gear ratio in the calculation will change from 3rd gear to 4th gear, even though the bike is actually still in 2nd gear.The gear ratio in the calculation will have changed from the equivalent of 3rd gear to the equivalent of 4th gear, even though the gear ratio actually remains in 2nd gear.
    This product is equipped with a function to read the on / off signal of the clutch switch and to fix the display gear while the clutch is being held, as an auxiliary function to reduce the false display as much as possible, and to ease the sense of discomfort.
