Caution

[Caution on use of motorcycle tyres]
*1. Cautions when selecting tires, tubes, etc.
Use the standard tyres specified by the vehicle manufacturer or the relevant optional tyres.
There is a case that the size/pattern is different between front and rear wheels. In this case, use the pattern for the front wheel for the front wheel and the pattern for the rear wheel for the rear wheel.
When installing new tires, use new tubes/new rim bands for tube-type tires and new tubeless valves for tubeless-type tires.
The tube must be the same size as the tire size and the valve must be compatible with the vehicle and wheel.
*2. Cautions when selecting rims
Use rims that are compatible with the vehicle and tire size, and that are not deformed, cracked, or severely corroded.
When using tubeless tires, use special tubeless rims marked with (FOR TUBELESS) or (TUBELESS TIRE APPLICABLE).
*3. Precautions when assembling rims
The function of the tyre may be impaired by foreign matter in the tyre. Inspect the inside of the tyre before mounting the rim, and remove any foreign matter that may be present.
If the tire has an arrow indicating the direction of rotation on the side of the tire, mount the tire on the rim in accordance with the arrow.
When mounting the rim, be sure to use a lubricant specially designed for tire/rim mounting.
Warning Be careful not to scratch the bead on tubeless tyres. Scratching the bead may cause air leakage.
For tubeless tyres, after inflation, check that there are no air leaks from the mating part of the tyre and rim and from the valve area with soapy water.
Make sure that the tube is not wedged between the tire and the rim.
WARNING When using the rim band, set it at the center of the rim so that it completely covers the heads of the spokes.
Warning Do not use tyres that have been re-grooved or drilled as this may lead to damage or an accident.
When assembling tires and rims, use tires with a pressure of 400kPa (4.00kgf/cm).2) or less and inflate the tire. If the tire bead does not fit on the rim, reapply lubricant and reassemble the tire.
Warning To avoid the risk of rupture, inflate only after taking safety measures such as placing the tyre in a safety enclosure.
DANGER After assembling the rims, make sure that the rim lines of the tires are even, and be sure to adjust the balance of both the front and rear wheels. If the tires are not adjusted, it may cause steering shake, abnormal vibration and uneven wear.
*4. Notes on pre-ride inspection
Warning Tire pressures should be adjusted to the specified inflation pressure when the tires are cold before riding. Over-inflation may cause damage to the tyre and may lead to an accident.
The air pressure will decrease naturally. Check the air pressure before riding to make sure it is not below the specified level.
Install the mated tire and rim on the vehicle and rotate the tire to make sure it does not contact the vehicle body.
Check that there are no cracks, nails, metal fragments, glass, etc. stuck in the tires, or stones or other foreign objects in the grooves. If any foreign objects are found, remove them.
Do not use tyres with external damage or cracked rubber that reaches the tyre cord. When the remaining groove depth is 0.8mm or less, a slip sign will appear in the main groove (the slip signs are located on the circumference of the tyre sidewall and are marked with four or six △ marks). A tyre with an exposed slip sign is not only in breach of Article 62 of the Road Traffic Act, but is also dangerous as it can be slippery on wet roads, reducing its dynamic performance. Please replace your tyres with new ones as soon as possible.
A winter tyre with a platform (grooves 50% deeper than when new) will have reduced performance on snow and icy roads and is not permitted by law to be used as a winter tyre. Please replace them with new winter tyres. If the tyre is to be used continuously as a summer tyre, it may be used until the slip sign with a remaining groove depth of 0.8mm appears.
*5. Notes on driver's compliance
When new tyres are fitted, run for at least 100km until the wax on the tyre surface is removed and the grip is stable.
WARNING Avoid contacting the tires with the curb or other protruding objects on the road, as this may damage the tires.
WARNING Avoid sudden starts, accelerations, turns and stops as they are dangerous. In particular, wet, snow-covered and icy roads are slippery and may cause accidents.
When driving, always maintain a safe distance from the vehicle according to the driving speed. Especially when driving on wet, snowy or icy roads, maintain a sufficient distance between vehicles.
If you feel any instability or abnormal noise or vibration while driving, stop the vehicle immediately in a safe place and inspect the vehicle and tires. Even if there is no abnormality in appearance, have the vehicle inspected by a specialist as soon as possible.
*6. Caution when using tire chains
Install tire chains that match the size of your tires.
Avoid driving on roads other than snow-covered or icy roads with tyre chains, as this may damage the tyres, chains and the vehicle, or cause it to slip.
*7. Precautions for storing tyres and tubes
Avoid the following places for storing tires and tubes.
(1) In direct sunlight
(2) Moisture and humidity
(3) Where gasoline or oil is present
(4) A place where heat is generated (stove, heater, etc.)
(5) Places where ozone is generated (where there is a motor or other device that emits electric sparks)
*8. Others
Do not use instant puncture repair agents or tire glazing agents that may cause deterioration of the tire or other harmful effects.
WARNING When applying tyre polish, never apply to the ground or bead area of the tyre. If it is applied, drive with caution, as you would for any tyre breaking-in after fitting.
Disposal of waste tires is expensive.

WARNING Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which
