March 26, 1989, the opening race of the World Championship Road Race, the Japanese Grand Prix, was held.
Tadahiko Taira won the pole position with the only time in 11 seconds.In the race, Freddie Spencer, returning from Yamaha, made a rocket start from ninth position and headed for the first corner.
However, the holeshot was taken by Wayne Rainey.Kevin Schwantz, who started third, gradually made his way up the field and the race became a battle between Rainey and Schwantz.
The rear tyre slides violently, the black compound lingers on the tarmac.Race fans all over the world watched with bated breath as the two raced.

The Suzuka Circuit was the stage for the opening round of the 1989 World Championship Grand Prix season.
In the midst of the strongest riders such as Eddie Lawson, Wein Gardner and Freddie Spencer, the famous battle between Schwantz and Rainey, Suzuki and Yamaha started in Suzuka. This famous battle has never faded and continues to shine through the years.In order to recreate the atmosphere of the race, the audio is based on the live broadcast that was played at the circuit at the time.
