Quartararo is a rookie, but for the first time, he is in a fierce battle with the champion!
Round 13, San Marino GP.
M. Viñales takes his second P.P. of the season, his first since the opening race of the season.
In the final race, P.P. Vinales, who started the race, took the holeshot and ran at a pace that pulled away from the rest of the field.
F.Quartararo and M.Marquez are now chasing Vinales.
Quartararo and Marquez then passed Viñales, and the two cars remained locked together.
On lap 16, previous race winner A.Rins crashed out of the race.
Marquez doesn't make a move on Quartararo with just a few laps to go.
The final lap.
Marquez finally makes his move and passes Quartararo on the home straight.
Quartararo quickly passes him, but Marquez is ahead again.
At the end of the race, he blocked Quartararo who was aiming for the inside at turn 14, and won a heated battle on the last lap to take his 7th win of the season.
Nakagami crashed out of the race, but was able to finish the race in 18th place.
