    Description

The center spring of a 2 class scooter is set up for a 2-seater, so a center spring which is too stiff will be a resistance for a 1-seater and for tuning each part.

1: When shifting gears, the shape and angle of the torque cam groove determine the shifting characteristics, and it is the job of the center spring to apply the optimum tension to the belt during shifting.
Excessive hardness of the center spring will cause extreme reduction in maximum speed.

2: It is to push back the gearshifted torque cam to the low speed side when the accelerator is turned off.

It is closely related to the groove angle.
The reaction force (groove angle) on the gearshift side is also effective when returning.
Also, the more the groove of the torque cam is laid down, the harder the center spring needs to be for the return.

3: When accelerating, the belt grip is secured by the reaction force of the torque cam and the belt clamping force of the center spring.

If belt slippage does not occur in various driving situations, the hardness of the belt is sufficient, and increasing the hardness more than necessary will cause resistance.
Please select the spring rate according to the stage of driving and the specification of the engine in order to make the drivetrain more dynamic.
Check the belt grip of pulley side and torque cam side, and change the center spring hardness according to the engine specification and riding condition.
ADVANCEPro center springs are designed to have less number of turns, so that they fit better with Advance Pro bearing sliders.
