The camshafts for the ZRX1100/ZZ-R1100/ZX-10, which have received many requests for resale since they were discontinued, have now been reintroduced with a machined design.
The new camshafts are made from a quality-controlled material (a type of ductile iron) that Yoshimura Japan uses to produce the best camshafts possible.
In addition, the material was subjected to laser hardening.
This camshaft is made of a new material and laser hardened to achieve high hardness, low distortion, and high lubricity.

Unique Cam Profile Design Yoshimura's camshafts are designed with our unique know-how.
The design of the profile begins with knowing the standard engine specifications.
The engine speed and the characteristics of the engine are assumed, and the characteristics of the Yoshimura camshaft profile are determined based on this.
Next, the determined profile characteristics are expressed in numerical values.
From the form to the numerical value......Yoshimura's longtime know-how leads to the unique profile.
A prototype camshaft with the profile is made and installed in the engine to check if the characteristics are as expected.
If not, the design is redone from the beginning again.
Yoshimura's unique cam profile is the result of this process.
Consistent production management Yoshimura manages consistent production including centering.
The camshaft material that reproduces the profile is also carefully selected and machined from scratch in-house.
We do not apply heat to the camshafts to distort or deform the camshafts, and we do not overlay the camshafts.
The camshafts are then heat-treated using a variety of methods to achieve the optimum hardness for the engine.
