Bolt-on design
Description
The development of this frame reinforcement rod dates back to the early 1980s.
At that time, Yoshimura participated in the race in Daytona with KATANA. Unfortunately, this Yoshimura KATANA driven by Ardana did not have a big result, but it appeared in the paper often because it was a racer of KATANA design.
Ikeda, the representative of Unicorn Japan, has focused on this racer.
The bolts that should be on the engine mounts above the pivot are not attached.
Mr. Asakawa, who was in charge of the development of the Yoshimura Bonneville and is currently the president of Asakawa Speed, confirmed that a pipe had been welded to the top of the pivot to reinforce the strength of the assembly exhaust, and this product was developed and sold through trial and error to see if it could be converted to a bolt-on design.
*The world's first bolt-on reinforced rod was manufactured and sold by Unicorn Japan.
Of course, this commitment did not end with the completion of the product, and we have continued to make improvements to the product ever since.
It is only one bar, but it is full of ideas and know-how accumulated over the years.
The strength of the swingarm pivot area, which was compromised when the stock exhaust system was changed which is a strengthening member of the frame, will be restored and the rigidity will be greatly improved.
