My Yamaha SR400's OEM grips were too rigid and hard. These grips are very soft and pliable. It reduces the amount of force I need to apply to the handlebars and therefore gives me an easier time riding. It also feels very nice. Carburetor maintenance after a long time
Carburetor maintenance was performed, which had been postponed although parts had been purchased.
We had prepared a Float valve (16030-1057), Packing for Float chamber (92055-1222), and ORing for PilotAir Screw (92055-1002). However, it has been in use for almost 4 years, and we decided to replace it this time because we do not want to have any problems before the next replacement.
The 16030-1057 does not come with a clip, so it must be removed from the existing float valve and replaced. Since the parts are quite thin and small, you need to be careful when replacing them. If you drop it and step on it, it will almost certainly go out.
There were no problems before the replacement, so there was no change after the replacement, but this gives us a sense of security that the Large part will be durable for a while. The price of this part is also high for a large part, and it costs more than 10,000 yen for four pieces. However, I would like to use reliable parts because I would not be able to count on any defects if I use No Brand parts.

Carburetor maintenance consists of unloading the car, disassembling, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, assembly, adjustment, and loading the car. I had planned to do this once every two years, but this was the first time in a long time. In fact, it would have been better to do it in a warmer time of the year because the rubber parts become hard when it gets cold, making it more difficult to take on and off the carburetor.
We had prepared a Float valve (16030-1057), Float chamber packing (92055-1222), and ORing for PilotAir Screw (92055-1002). The packing of the float chamber and the ORing for the PilotAir Screw are replaced every time. This time, I took down the Carburetor from the car body, disassembled and cleaned it, replaced the float valve, and assembled it up to the necessary parts for oil level adjustment, but I still had trouble with the oil level adjustment. On the second day, we managed to adjust the oil level and replaced the packing of the float chamber with a new one (since the float chamber is opened and closed many times when adjusting the oil level, we had to replace the packing with a new one). ), and we were able to mount the unit on the car body. We then completed the work by adjusting the negative pressure and installing the exterior.
Float chamber packing can be found inexpensively, but I always use OEM packing, even though it costs a lot of gold, because of the danger of premature deterioration and gasoline leakage.

I purchased a KOSO Super slimStyleMeter to install on my ZRX1100 as an Oil Temperature Meter.
The screw size of the Oil Journal to which the sensor is attached is M18×P1.5, and KOSO sells an M18×P1.5 sensor that fits the size, but we decided to use this sensor fitting with the SuperSensor. However, it was cheaper to use the R1/8 sensor that comes with the slimStyleMeter with the sensor fitting, so we decided to install the sensor fitting with the sensor that comes with the slimStyleMeter.
Since it was not yet time to replace the oil, the installation was done with the oil in place. To make the installation quick, we assembled the sensor into the fitting in advance, cured the surrounding area in case the oil overflowed, and then pulled out the existing bolt to replace it with the sensor. The torque was written as 20N, but I did not have a Spanner type torque wrench, so I tightened the bolt as I thought it would be. I replenished the overflowed oil, connected the sensor to the Oil Temperature Meter, and checked that the Oil Temperature Meter was working properly.
This time, we used a combination of Sensor fitting and Sensor, which probably made it taller than the dedicated Size Sensor, so the fit was not so good. Also, this is a problem with KOSO's Sensor, but I am worried that it might get caught in some way because the wire is stiff and sticks outward.
The Sensor fitting itself is very accurate and the attachment to the Oil journal was Smooth. It is a good product.
