Genuine NGK products for peace of mind
I bought it here because it was time to replace the plug on my CB.
NGKPlug is said to have counterfeit products in the world on the Manufacturer's website, so I did not dare to buy it from a certain A company, but bought it from WeBig.
Just to be sure, I contacted WeBig and was reassured that it was definitely an authentic product.
I would hate to install a counterfeit product without knowing it and have my car go bad, so I think it was the right decision to purchase from a reliable source.
The one that came as an OEMPlug was NGK R, so I am not sure how it compares, but it seems to be working well for now.

A great product for old cars.
The braking power of the old NORMAL is not as good as the current Motorcycle, but I bought it hoping that even a 10% increase in braking power would help.
I am very satisfied with the product. I cannot comment on the durability of the product since it is still in use, but I am satisfied with Site's assortment of products as well.

Stable ignition, high starting performance, and extraordinary effectiveness even in carburetor vehicles
The other day, the Engine on my TRX850 would start, but it was kind of bobbing and smoldering, and when I let go of the Axel, it would not Idle.
If the Engine is on, it is an unexplained Trouble, even though fuel, compression, and ignition should be working.
Idling adjustments do not improve the symptoms at all.
I went TroubleShooting while staring at the Service Manual.
In the case of the TRX850, even though it is a carburetor car, it is equipped with a Throttle position sensor (T.P.S.), so we first adjusted the T.P.S. The gap was set to a larger amount than standard.
After adjusting the T.P.S., I tried to start the engine, but this time the Cell Motor would turn, but the engine would not start. After cranking the engine several times, the Exhaust System started to burn and the engine would not start! After cranking several times, there was a big After Fire from the Exhaust System.
What, does the explosion mean that the fire is flying from the Spark plug? Does that mean that fire is flying from the spark plug?
I removed the Plug and checked the spark situation, and sure enough, the fire was flying. The spark plug at this time is a standard Register plug. When I bought my TRX850 last year, I replaced it with a new one at the Shop and it has only been used for a few hundred kilometers.
I was going to contact the Shop where I bought it, but unfortunately the store is closed because there is no successor.
After thinking about the cause for a while, I thought, hmmm, if After Fire occurs, it means the fuel is too rich.
Checked the Spark plug again, fire is flying but the area around the electrode part looks kind of Blackish. Finally, I was prepared for Carburetor's fuel condition & overhaul, and replaced the spark plug with NGK Iridium Plug (DPR8EIX-9).
The engine was in excellent condition, as if the previous unexplained malfunction was a lie! I made the Idling adjustment again and it was perfect.
The sparks were flying, but they were not stable. What a fall, so to speak, under the lighthouse.
By the way, I tried to polish the carbone of the removed and tattered Standard Plug BP5HA with Brass Brush, but it did not come off easily. It is not reusable.
But why did the sudden engine malfunction and spark plug rash occur when I had been running normally and had done nothing wrong?
Lesson learned, just because the Spark plug is new doesn't mean it won't cover you, and when it does, it will cover any Timing. It is best to have a spare.
To replace the Spark plug on the TRX850, the Radiator must be removed.
This time, we did not have a spare Coolant Drain Washer, so we removed the Radiator Mount Bolt, shifted it, and finally replaced it.
What are Iridium plugs?
Spark plugs are parts that lead the mixture fed into the engine to explode, and their role is to ignite the mixture.
Iridium plugs are called Iridium plugs because Windshield IRIDIUM Alloy Gold is used for the sparking electrodes, but what are their effects and characteristics?
Iridium plugs are effective and unique.
Iridium plugs are effective in the following six ways
1. High combustion efficiency
2. Extract Engine Performance
3. Excellent acceleration performance in the mid to high RPM range
4. Stable ignition performance
5. High Engine Startability
6. Less susceptible to Carbon
■Effect 1:High combustion efficiency
Iridium plugs have thinner electrodes and are processed so that sparks fly easily and are not dispersed, producing efficient combustion.
Since it does not interfere with the growth of the spark after ignition, the flame spreads quickly and the air mixture can be burned thoroughly.
■Effect 2:Drawing out Engine performance
Iridium plugs produce efficient combustion, which brings out Engine performance.
Compared to a standard register plug, the new plug has a more efficient ignition performance and burns the fuel mixture more efficiently, so the explosion power is larger and the engine performance can be expected to be enhanced.
Effect 3:Excellent acceleration performance in the mid to high RPM range
It improves the Torque feel at low RPMs and provides excellent acceleration performance in the mid to high RPM range of the Engine.
The efficient ignition performance of the Iridium plugs produces a powerful explosion with fast combustion spread, resulting in smooth acceleration.
Effect 4:Stable ignition performance
The high ignition performance of Iridium plugs is also one of their benefits, as it allows sparks to fly consistently into the air mixture.
By making the center electrode ultra-thin and using a taper process or similar process, sparks do not fly off and concentrated ignition with little loss can be achieved.
■Effect 5:Less susceptible to Carbon, etc.
Iridium plugs also have the effect of burning off the Carbon at the electrodes.
Even if Carbon or other substances adhere to the electrode, they can be burned off by a small discharge.
[Iridium plugs feature.
What are the features of Iridium plugs? Sparks fly well." Durable." It is
With Windshield IRIDIUM, the central electrode is made as thin as possible to prevent sparks from flying around it.
Compared to common register plugs, the higher melting point of Windshield IRIDIUM also makes it more durable and corrosion resistant.
[Merit of Iridium plugs
Merit using Iridium plugs is the following 5 points.
1. High ignition performance
2. Extract Engine Performance
3. High durability of Plug
4. Improved fuel economy
5. hardy against smoke
■Merit 1:High ignition performance
Iridium plugs have high ignition performance to the air mixture.
The electrode is processed to be extremely fine, so it can ignite the air mixture more intensively without waste, and the small area at the tip of the electrode suppresses the cooling effect that extinguishes the fire after ignition.
The high ignition performance is merit because the fire is maintained and grows into a larger flame.
■Merit2.Plug is very durable.
Windshield IRIDIUM, which has a high melting point, is used for the electrodes, making them highly durable.
Since the role of the plug is to ignite the air mixture inside the engine, it is continuously exposed to high pressure and high temperature.
■Merit3.Engine performance
The efficient ignition performance of Iridium plugs brings out the performance of the Engine.
The Merit does not interfere with flame growth, creating a more large explosive power, and brings out engine performance, such as improved acceleration performance, especially in the mid to high RPM range.
Merit 4:Improved fuel economy
Higher combustion efficiency directly translates into better fuel economy.
Fuel efficiency is proportional to the amount of Axel opened and the time it takes to open it, but if combustion efficiency is good, acceleration will occur without opening more Axels, and fuel efficiency will increase.
Merit5. Smoldering-resistant
Since the electrode part of the Plug is located in the combustion chamber of the Engine, combustion residues such as Carbon generated by the explosion are likely to adhere to it.
Iridium plugs maintain ignition performance because a small discharge burns off the carbon attached to the inside of the insulation.
Carbon is more likely to be generated and adhered to by prolonged low-speed driving, so it is a higher Merit for those who are doing Main daily riding such as commuting to work or school, where Carbon is more likely to adhere.
[Demerit of Iridium plugs]
Demerit of Iridium plugs is mainly threefold
1. maintainability
2. Prices are higher than other Plug
3. Fuel conditioning may be required.
We will explain in turn.
■Demerit1.Maintainability
Iridium plugs are more difficult to maintain than other plugs.
If the electrode is wet or has a lot of soot on it, such as Carbon, it will need to be cleaned to maintain performance.
However, the electrodes of Iridium plugs are extremely thin, and if they are brushed with a wire brush, as is the case with register plugs, they will be damaged in the worst case, making maintenance difficult.
■Merit2.Higher price than OEMPlug
Iridium plugs are more expensive than Register plugs used by OEMs.
Iridium plugs are generally two to three times more expensive, and in the case of motorcycle Iridium plugs, the replacement cycle is the same as that of the register plug, which is usually 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers.
As more people are concerned about fuel economy, Demerit is also priced higher than the OEMPlug because the running cost per distance is also higher.
Demerit 3. May need to be fueled.
Iridium plugs increase combustion efficiency, so some vehicles require fuel adjustment.
The increased combustion efficiency allows thinner fuel to be used, which can cause the fuel to be too thick and cause blistering if it is left unregulated.
This is relatively unlikely to happen with recent Injection Motorcycles, but with Carburetor Vehicles, fuel adjustment may be necessary, and depending on the type of vehicle, it may not be enough to simply replace the plug.
The difference between Iridium plugs and regular plugs.
The difference between Iridium plugs and common register plugs is the difference in the genus Gold used for the central electrode.
Iridium plugs use Windshield IRIDIUM Alloy Gold for the central electrode, while Nickel Alloy Gold is used for the general register plugs used by manufacturers OEMs and others.
The melting points of the materials used for the electrodes are different.
Windshield IRIDIUM has a melting point (the temperature at which an individual begins to turn into a liquid) of 2,446°C, while the Nickel used in the Register plug has a melting point of 1,455°C, a difference of about 1,000°C.
The high melting point of Windshield IRIDIUM allows it to withstand stronger explosions and to be processed into thinner electrodes that favor combustion efficiency.
There is also another PlatinumPlug (WhiteGoldPlug) made of Platinum alloy Gold, but the melting point of Platinum is 1,769°C, which is between Windshield IRIDIUM and Nickel.
[The speed of combustion spread and combustion efficiency are different.
Iridium plugs allow sparks to fly to the fuel mixture and ignite it with less waste compared to typical register plugs.
The speed at which combustion spreads after ignition is also different because a stable spark can be generated with less waste.
If we look at the flow from the ignition of Iridium plugs and Register plugs on the same time line, Iridium plugs are more efficient in combustion because Iridium plugs burn more mixture.
Iridium plugs are ineffective on old and carburetor vehicles?
Iridium plugs are sometimes said to be ineffective when used on older or carburetor vehicles (Carburetor Vehicles), but the conclusion is that Depends on the type of car and how it's used." It is
Not all carburetor vehicles, but even carburetor vehicles can benefit from the excellent effects of Iridium plugs, and even if they seem incompatible, they can be ridden without problems after fuel modification.
Fuel adjustment is necessary when covered.
When Iridium plugs are covered, it is often caused by the mixture being too thick, and may be corrected by thinning or otherwise adjusting the fuel mixture.
If Plug is covered, it should be replaced with a new one.
As mentioned above, maintenance of Iridium plugs is extremely difficult because of the extremely fine and precise electrodes.
FAQ about Iridium plugs
Are Iridium plugs easy to cover?
When I replaced them with Iridium plugs, they covered them." That being said, if the fuel is adjusted (fuel conditioned) with a thicker Gasoline, it may be a rare case of a car model being covered.
If Iridium plugs are used and they get covered, the fuel mixture should be adjusted at the same time.
How do you maintain Iridium plugs?
Maintenance of Iridium plugs is performed by removing the plugs and checking for burns, wear, and soot around the central electrode.
If it is properly burned, it is a golden brown color; if it is white, it is overcooked; if the area around the electrodes is damp, the fuel is too thick and may cause a rash, and should be cleaned or replaced.
Iridium plugs have precise electrodes, so cleaning them with a wire brush may cause damage.
What is the lifespan of Iridium plugs?
The life expectancy of Iridium plugs for 2-wheeled vehicles is generally 3,000 to 5,000Km, but it also depends on how the vehicle is driven.
If you ride a Motorcycle with the Engine running GunGun in the summer, the standard replacement is 3,000Km. If you ride a Motorcycle for daily use such as commuting to work or school, or if you are touring for main use, the standard replacement is at 5,000Km.
Also, if the car has not been ridden for more than a year, it is a good idea to replace it with a new one before riding.
Which is better for Iridium plugs, NGK or Denso?
NGK and Denso are the distributors of Plug, Which is better." It is a matter of preference as to which one to choose.
The more detailed electrodes produce a stronger electric field strength, and although Denso has more detailed electrodes than MGK, the difference is not at a Level that can be felt on public roads, so it is best to choose according to preference.
【Summary】
Iridium plugs with Windshield IRIDIUM for electrodes can be used to improve combustion efficiency and Engine starting performance, and to draw Engine Power.
It is an excellent plug with a long life and high durability, and is resistant to smoldering caused by carbon, etc. However, depending on usage conditions, it may be used in extremely rare cases. "Beware." Symptoms may occur, in which case appropriate adjustments should be made.

Replace deteriorated OEM Product
I replaced an OEM Product's Brake Shoe because the Lining part had peeled off over time and was no longer usable. The lining part of the OEM Product's Brake Shoe had peeled off and was no longer usable, so we replaced it.
The OEM Brake Shoe has already been discontinued, and as mentioned in the earlier impresario, this was the only one that fit the GB400.
There is nothing special to mention in terms of functionality, and braking can be done normally.
Spring is not included in the kit, so it was reassembled from an old OEM Shoe. (43151-329-000) is still supplied at about 200 yen per pc and may be prepared separately if you want to replace it.

Cheap and ordinary Plug
It is an ordinary Plug with nothing special to mention, but the NGK product gives a sense of security.
After 8000 km of use, I replaced them with new ones and the old ones seemed to have a slightly wider Gap. After the replacement, there is no difference that can be felt when driving, but I feel that the starting performance when cold has improved.
Windshield IRIDIUMetc. There are expensive and high performance plugs, but for a single cylinder, replacement is not a hassle, and I think it is sufficient to replace the inexpensive Standard Plug BP5HA on a regular basis.

Easy to use Parenthesis
My SUPER FOUR is almost, or maybe not at all, NORMAL, but I wanted to get some Habit, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do that wouldn't affect the vehicle inspection,
I was thinking of changing the Halogen bulb.
I remember when I used to like to use Halogen with Color Ki in my car.
It's Halogen, not LED.
Halogen bulb
Halogen bulb is a kind of white-hot bulb, which is heated by passing an electric current through a tungsten filament (resistance) and emits light by blackbody radiation at a high temperature of ~3000 degrees Celsius. 。
The structure of the Halogen bulb is similar to that of a white-hot bulb, except that the Valve contains Halogen gas in addition to inert gas.
What color are Halogen bulbs?
Halogen bulbs are basically unable to produce white light, and large and half products are 2800K-3000K light bulb color.
The color temperature is between 2800K and 3000K. Even if there is blue in the color temperature, the color temperature of Halogen does not change so much.
Disadvantages of Halogen bulb
The Large Demerit of Halogen Head Light is that its brightness is inferior to LED and HID.
Insufficient brightness makes early detection of road signs and obstacles difficult, which may affect safety while driving.
but the range of illumination is
Halogen is not inferior to LED in terms of wider range or resistance to dense fog.
As an example, there are a lot of new cars with Halogen light, right? Also, Fog Lamp is Halogen, right?
→ I don't think it's a problem.
Well, I'll replace it!
Replacement procedure.
1) Headlight of CB400SF, the light unit can be removed by simply removing the two screws at 8 and 4 o'clock.
↓
(2) All that is left to do is to remove the Valve Connector and replace the H4. 。 Work completed!
[After exchange]
I drove several times at night and in the rain and had no problems at all, and it was easy to see. I like Parenthesis because it has a little bit of blue color. It is easy to replace the bulbs even if they run out.

If it is immovable, replace it immediately.
The chain that came with the bike when I got it is not rusted, but it has not been ridden for a while... I would like to replace it because it looks tired.
Mr. Daido is a Large favorite.
[Motorcycle Chain].
The drive chain→is the Chain of the Motorcycle and plays an important role in transmitting power from the Engine to the Rear Wheel Tire through a gear called Sprocket.
The outer and inner Plate is stopped by a Pin covered with Bush 。 Since they are consumables, they deteriorate during driving and require periodic maintenance and replacement.
[How long does Motorcycle Chain last? ]
‥ It is said that the lifespan of a typical MotorcycleChain is 3 years.
However, if cleaning is neglected, the life of the Chain will be about one year. 。
MotorcycleChain also has the risk of rusting at an early stage if it is not cleaned regularly, since it often gets wet from rain and other factors.
→If in actual operation, daily maintenance is essential. In case of immobility, replacement is desirable regardless of distance or age.
MotorcycleChain replacement based on mileage.
...15,000Km to 20,000Km. 。
In the case of non-seal chains, since they deteriorate quickly, maintenance should be performed after the mileage exceeds 10,000Km to check whether replacement is necessary or not.
The→large half is a Seal chain, though.
In this case, we will use the Chain Tool.
I thought about doing it without it, but I decided that forceful techniques would not work because it is quite a big body unlike MONKEY and CUB (laugh).
Procedure
(1) Apply Motorcycle to STAND.
Center Stand or Jack-up.
↓
(2) Loosen the play of Chain to the Largeest size.
↓
(3) Cut the old Chain with the Chain Tool.
Cut ?Cut ◯Push out Pin.
↓
(4) Temporarily fix the old Chain and the new Chain at the removed Joint (by inserting the new Joint or tying it with Tie Wrap). When the old chain is pulled out, the chain is replaced.
↓
(5) Fix the new Chain end to end (both should be Plate inside) next to each other at the appropriate place on the Driven Sprocket.
↓
(6) Place a Joint, insert a Plate, and attach a Clip. Place the closed end of the Clip in the direction of the Chain.
↓
(7) Adjust the tension of the Chain.
[After exchange]
◎The old grease that was sticking to the chain was affected, but the chain that had been rattling when idling turned beautifully.
If I ride with the Chain as it is... I'm scared just thinking about it (laughs).
