Genuine Honda Skid Plate Rubber for CRF1100 2022
This kit was purchased due to the older rubbers deteriorating badly after a long haul tour. Not so much of a big deal but the skid plate was making too much noise. I found the right rubbers by simply checking the Honda schematics for this model and year of bike. After I got this, I checked Webike website to see if they had the stock. As I needed 4 to complete the replacement I was worried I would have to wait for stock. Luckily, they had a more than I needed ready to ship out. Good news. The price was really good value and although it is not an expensive kit, every saving is a good saving. I did have a couple of other parts I needed to order so I got them all shipped together. I do use EMS lately as they just get the job done quickly and there is full tracking along the way. In just 7 days, my order arrived. The box was well packaged and there was a lot of padding to keep everything safe and secure. The skid plate kit came in the standard Honda packaging and was also well packed. The rubbers are not really that much to look at but they are really good quality from Honda. They are nice and squishy but do not distort in shape and hold what they are supposed to. Fitting was really easy as it is literally, replacing the old for the new. Now the skid plate is cushioned as it should be and does not make a sound when the bike moves or goes over bumps. Genuine DID 525 ZVM-X 2 for Yamaha MT10 2020
I decided I would go for a steel chain again and thought I would try the new ZVM-X2 this time as previously, I have had the ZVM-X 1 in steel. This came up as a sale item and although the 114 link was out of stock, the 116 links was in stock and just an extra £1 so went for that. I found the correct chain and length by simply checking my bike's user manual and that was pretty much it. No need to go on Yamaha parts catalogue as some things, you should just know about your bike. Although this is a heavy item, the shipping was pretty good and along with a couple of other small and light parts this worked out really well. I opted for EMS as they were a bit cheaper than my usual EMS. This was already in stock so arrived within like 7 days of ordering. All the parts in the order were well packed and as I also had a couple of small parts in the order, Webike securely wrapped them individually so even if the chain moved in transit, the smaller parts would not come to harm. I had a quick look at the chain upon arrival and I was speechless. The steel is super nice, it just feels like quality. Why go with anyone else than DID when these guys know exactly what they are doing with chains. The chain obviously need to lose a couple of links so it would fit my bike, pretty easy job if you have the correct tools. All fitted including the front and rear sprockets in less than an hour. Steel Silver Gold Here are my impressions after using each of them.
I buy Chain in advance when it is inexpensive, such as during sale periods (I bought Silver this time).
The replacement was done at the same time as the front and rear Sprocket (Steel) by Motorcycle shop.
Now it's 43,000 km since I replaced it with a Tigers collaboration Gold chain, and I have no complaints or concerns. \"Lately... Finally, I'm here...\" (Sprocket used to use OEM Product for both front and rear, but now only the rear is Xam's Black color Steel).
Chain lube is a good idea to keep a small amount of lube flowing and not to call for dust (Chain cleaning in advance is a Large thing!).
The time to replace it is when the vibration, noise, O-ring deteriorates to the point that it can be seen, etc. I think it's a good time to replace the O-rings, because there are some ′action′from the Motorcycle side.
It is a good Chain with enough quality to Motorcycle with less than one hundred horsepower output.
