Genuine GBRacing Cover Set for MT07 2016
Because this bike had a bit of an accident and was getting rebuilt, the customer asked if there was anything else they could add which would help protect it against any further mishaps. I do tend to suggest that GBRacing engine kits are the way to go and this was the case here. Finding the right set was not hard as I just used the search function on Webike and then for my own peace of mind, I cross referenced with GBRacing website. With a few other smaller parts in my order, I had them all shipped together to save on costs and all arrived safely via EMS in 5 days from being shipped. The box all arrived well padded and the covers were in their own little GBRacing packets anyway. This set comprised of just the generator cover and the clutch cover which is more than sufficient for this bike and how small it is. The covers are made of some kind of composite and not just plain old plastic like a lot of other companies use. These are tough puppies and do withstand a good knock and or scrape down the road. They really are the mutts nuts when it comes to engine protection. All the necessary parts needed were aleady in the packets so there is no need to go hunting for specific bolts etc. You can feel the quality of these covers from both outside and inside. There is even a nice little GBRacing logo perched inside a cut out on the covers. Good touch. The fitting was pretty straight forward. Just take your time and make sure you have everything at hand before you start and you will have no issues. I also tend to use a little copper slip for the bolts which stops them from becoming stuck in there if you ever need to change them out. Cracking job Webike, thank you for the help. View detail
Genuine Kitaco Starter Motor Cover for Honda MSX125
The Grom came in for a bit of a spruce up and the customer wanted some bling adding. They chose the starter motor cover in black as it went very well with their colour scheme. Finding the right cover is not difficult as Kitaco supply tgeh same cover for all the MSX125 range anyway. It was just a matter of selecting the right colour really. The price for this cover is excellent and really good value for what you get. I had some other parts in this order and got them all shipped via EMS together top save on some shipping costs. In 5 days my order arrived. ALl well packaged and no damage to anything. The starter motor copver came in the Kitaco box and was well protected. The part itself is really good looking. The machine work is flawless and even done from a billet piece of aluminium which is also quite surprising. Wow, what a cracking part this is. Even the reverse side is excellently crafted. About the feeling of use - The drain bolt with magnet is a well designed product that integrates into the factory engine case to add a useful feature that helps with engine longevity by removing unwanted metal from the oil. Products to buy together - A key product to buy together with the drain bolt with magnet is the SP Takegawa LED temperature guage that will allow for monitoring of the engine oil temperature to ad further longevity of the engine. Difficulty of installation - The installation of the drain bolt with magnet is a simple task that took 0.2 of an hour to complete. Some slight mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is all that is required to secure the drain bolt with magnet to the engine case. Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products SP Takegawa sell to be on par when compared to what most other companies sell their products for but the drain bolt with magnet is priced higher this time round. The design of this drain bolt with magnet with it's sensor hole is what sets it apart from the others. I was invited to buy the same YOSHIMURA STAGE-2, or ST-2, in stock at the store and offered a discount, but........................bad bugs!
However, this is a NORMAL400 with only Tune for the intake and exhaust, and I don't want it to be too radical and difficult to ride (laughs).
Types of YOSHIMURACam for SR
■ STAGE-1 (ST-1, ST-1M)

In other words...
STAGE-1 (ST-1, ST-1M)
→Valve Spring does not need to be replaced, Torque is relatively easy to ride out from below.
STAGE-2 (ST-2)
→Valve Spring needs to be replaced, Power comes out when turned, but Torque is thin underneath.
Based on my running style and EngineSpec. STAGE-1 (ST-1, ST-1M) I've got it!

Procedure
◎First, lower the Engine. It is better to take it down because there are many small parts.
↓
◎Remove the cylinder head.
↓
◎Match the notch on the Crankcase with the top dead center Mark (T) of the Flywheel, the 0Mark of the Camshaft Sprocket with the notch on the Cylinder head.
↓
◎Remove the locker arm, remove the camshaft, and then use the ValveSpring compressor to remove and replace the valve spring and stem seal. 。 After installation, use the Thickness Gauge and Tappet Adjust Wrench to return the Tappet clearance to the proper setting.
*Locker Arm must be replaced for 1985 and newer vehicles. Locker Arm

◎The assembly process is the reverse of the removal process. Finally, the amount of oil is checked and replenished before starting.
[After exchange]
◎Blow up is sharper than NORMAL. → No drastic change, NORMAL+α.
◎The Torque loss at low to medium speeds, which was a concern, is not felt.
◎Firmly follows the accelerator operation even at high speeds 。
◎Idling is stable, and the Accelerator operates as usual when starting, with Large sturdiness.

SR400 is originally a short stroke model, so I think you could feel the lightness of the short stroke by using the high camshaft.
If you have a vehicle with no air intake/exhaust, you may not feel the effect. Rather, Normal cam is better if the air intake and exhaust are NORMAL. even Normal cam is not to be underestimated. The →ST-1M has characteristics similar to NORMAL. Normally, changing the high camshaft will make it harder to drive, but this ST-1M is a fee ring that retains the NORMAL characteristics in a good sense.
This is a RECOMMENDATION to those seeking a NORMAL fee ring+α.
