It spins nicely to high rpm!
Used with the LITTLE CUB 50cc High-compression Piston + PB16 Carburetor.
I chose this High Camshaft made by KITACO because the High-compression Piston was made by KITACO and it was confirmed that there was no problem with Valve.
I think the built-in is a little tough for beginners.
I proceeded with the work while carefully checking the "Horizontal TypeEngine Tora-Maki" published by KITACO.
Even so, I was still worried about Cam's alignment and such, so I finally got help from someone in the know to complete it.
The performance will be much higher than the Normal cam, and it will be able to turn up to high RPM.
If you're trying to enjoy the pleasant rev range of this Cam, you'll easily exceed the legal speed of the moped on public roads, so it's best to think of it as For Racing.
I couldn't evaluate the durability as I haven't checked it yet, but I'm hoping it's from a manufacturer with a history in 4MINI.

Genuine Kitaco Camshaft
After a lot of thought and help from elsewhere, the camshaft was found to be needing a replacement due to incorrect storage and so the fun began. Finding the right camshaft was pretty straightforward, there are a lot of spare parts available for these bikes which makes my life a lot easier. The price for the camshaft was a real bargain and if I had to replace from the UK parts, it would be at least double the price. So, along with a few other parts for the project it was added to the basket. My order was shipped all together via EMS and arrived in 5 days from being shipped from Webike warehouse. The box arrived in perfect condition and was filled with bubble wrap to keep everything safe. The camshaft is truly an awesome piece of machinery. This one is far beyond what I imagined to get. I have never purchased Kitaco parts before but these are definitely the way to gofor thos project. The cams are all nicely machined, the bearings are sound and pretty much a plug and play. As for CUB, I always use High Camshaft when I do bore up. 。
So what does High Camshaft change? → High Camshaft is a component that changes the power output characteristics in a large, crude way.
What is the purpose of high camshaft?
High camshaft tuning is a relatively simple way to increase the power of the engine, with the aim of increasing engine output and RPM.
The more air the engine can take into the cylinder, the more fuel it can burn at once, and the more power it can produce. 。
However, one of the obstacles to air intake is the valve. If the valve opens less, the passage is narrower and the amount of air that can be taken in is reduced.
The high camshaft increases the valve lift to widen the passage and increase the amount of air that can be taken in.
Since more air mixture can be put into the combustion chamber than with the normal cam, a larger explosion is produced, resulting in more power and acceleration performance. 。
This is the effect of high camshaft.
Merit of High Camshaft is
(1) Power is increased because the amount of air intake increases at high rpm. 。
(2) Since the Exhaust System Intake Valve is open in the first half of the compression process, the pressure escapes, making it difficult to knock down the engine even with a high compression engine.
(3) Even if the Rev limit is increased to some extent, the maximum speed can be increased because Torque does not fall.
Demerit says.
(1) Engine performance is lower than NORMAL at low RPM.
(2) Fuel consumption deteriorates because the pre-combustion mixture is also discharged.
(3) Carbon adheres more easily to the throttle valve during engine braking because there is more blowback to the intake.
Idling becomes unstable because it becomes difficult to stabilize at very low rpm.
(5) If the valve does not follow the cam due to an increase in the amount of lift, it may be necessary to change to a Fixed Type Valve head of InnerShim etc. or Reinforcement Spring etc.
(6) The life of Spring will be shortened because the load on Valve Spring will become large.
The high camshaft is KITACO's high camshaft special for normal cylinder head.

I was impressed as if I went from a CUB practical engine to a sports type motorbike.
High camshaft can be used for normal head, so it won't break the Valve.
The power increased by Bore up can be efficiently released.
The instruction manual is easy to understand.
○The height of Cam Mountain is moderate, so there is not much of a drop in low-speed Torque or fuel consumption.
A bad point
The aforementioned Idling instability tends to be present.
Power will definitely drop for normal engines and engines that have not been bore up, and some parts will be worse for normal engines. 。 Lack of low-speed Torque, and instability of Idling.
○Tappet adjustment is troublesome. 。
Tighten with the Thickness Gauge in between and be sure to use 0.5 for intake and 0.8 for exhaust.
I've tried to use it, but I'm somewhat worried because it's a silo job.
If fuel is increased to compensate for the increase in air, it is certain that the output will increase, but the fuel consumption will worsen. Output and fuel consumption are basically inversely related.
It is pleasant to feel the Peak power increase by releasing the Engine Power, which has become more powerful with Bore up, and there is a sense that Demerit is kicked out as well (laugh).
I think it would be even more exciting to build a bore-up engine by yourself!
High Camshaft is
DisNormal engine→ Not Recommendation because of its outstanding non-power.
Bore up→Power can be transmitted nicely, so recommendation.
There is a benefit to putting it on.
